Discover the power of cold water at our Introduction to Cold Water Immersion class, set at a pristine, spring-fed lake in a tranquil remote location.
This class is designed to guide you through the transformative practice of cold water immersion, combining both theory and hands-on experience. You’ll learn about the science behind cold water therapy, the physical and mental health benefits, and essential safety protocols to ensure a safe and empowering experience.
The session includes guided breathwork techniques to help regulate your nervous system and prepare your body for the immersion, as well as practical tips to help you ease into the water. The class culminates in a full immersive experience in the lake, which will leave you feeling invigorated, grounded, and mentally refreshed.
Open to all, this class offers a supportive environment to explore the benefits of cold water, from boosting circulation and reducing inflammation to improving mental & physical resilience and clarity.

What to bring:
- Swim suit or wet/dry suit – whatever you feel most comfortable wearing
- Towel
- Dry robe (or bath robe or an extra towel for warmth)
- Water bottle
- Tow float (if you intend to swim rather than dip. Swimming isn’t a required part of the session but you are welcome to do so)
- Feel free to bring snacks
- Cup for hot drinks – tea, coffee, and herbal teas will be available

£25 for two hours including a PDF on cold water immersion
Who you will meet:
Ffion will be your guide. She has years of experience in cold water immersion as a therapy, enjoyable wellness-centred hobby, and as a necessity when living in the wild for extended periods of time. She has completed training with various organisations including Wim Hof, is a full practitioner member of the Complementary Medical Association, holds the designations GOYA ECYT-500, CYYT, CCEP, CMT, CRYT, WP with GOYA, is a level 4 personal trainer, and is registered with the Mindfulness Teachers Register and the Disability Confident Scheme.
