Please note that you are more than welcome to pay in cash during the class or via bank transfer, this will also help to prevent processing charges for payments.

Class information

Yoga for weight loss class at The Madeley Centre every Thursday from 9th May 2024 at 7pm.

Taster classes are being held on Thursday 11th April and Thursday 25th April 2024 at 6pm (please note this is one hour earlier than the weekly class starting time in May!)

Sessions will incorporate various yoga styles to build strength, stamina, fitness, flexibility, but also relaxation, mindfulness, and mind-body connection.

Classes are suitable for complete beginners. Everyone is welcome, yoga is for everybody! Chairs and a plyo box will be available to assist those who have mobility or balance issues, and all poses will be taught with adjustments on three levels so that everyone gets the most from each session.

Yoga isn’t about forcing yourself into the perfect pose, it is about connecting the mind, breath, and body and learning from the journey the poses take you on physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Practicing yoga requires being non-judgemental towards yourself and others, accepting what is in this moment with kindness, and moving with joy and gratitude towards your body and the breath that sustains it.

Classes will be taught in a way that promotes body positivity, enjoyment of movement, mental and physical wellness, as well as body conditioning.

If you have any concerns or questions about attending the class or would like to let me know if  you need any adjustments made, please contact me on, via social media, or speak to me before the class. I will do everything I can to ensure that you are able to begin a wonderful journey through yoga.

Do I need to bring anything?

Wear comfortable clothes that will allow you to move freely. Shoes/trainers are optional.

Bring along a mat, but if you don’t have one, I have a limited number for sale at a reduced price and others I can lend out. A blanket may be useful too for comfort in poses or during relaxation moments, and don’t forget your water bottle!

Props such as blocks and straps will be useful, I can offer some to borrow during class or to purchase for a discounted price compared to retail.

I have an offer on 7 sets of two blocks and one strap for class attendees: all three items and a class for only £20! These can be purchased when you attend the weekly classes starting in May – if you would like to reserve a set, let me know on
